Uses of FrostWires
FrostWire includes LimeWire’s free version functions, as well as some of LimeWire Pro’s features On top of that, FrostWire contains no pop-ups, no nag screens, no inhibiting features. User would not get bombarded by ads. In addition, FrostWire users do not have to worry about simultaneous download restrictions.
FrostWire has some new features. It comes with friendly online chatroom. However, you would not be able to find some of the LimeWire features such as the instant messenger in FrostWire.
By default, TLS encryption is enabled for connections of FrostWire. This can be disabled in the preference. You can make more connections using FrostWire now.
FrostWire’s BitTorrent engine is now powered by Azureus technology. Before this, a simplified version of LimeWire’s BitTorrent engine was used.
FrostWire allows wireless filesharing between Android Devices running FrostWire for Android and deskstop client. No pairing on either end is required. The connection is established automatically if these devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
FrostWire is now compatible with iTune.
The skins of FrostWire is improved. There are more skins to choose from.
